1. Our commitment
We want procurement teams to browse the catalogue, request access, submit enquiries and manage facility accounts without unnecessary barriers. Accessibility is part of how we design and maintain farsightmed.com and related digital channels operated from Doha.
This statement describes our approach, the standards we aim for, known limitations, and how to contact us if you encounter an obstacle.
2. Standards we aim for
We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA where practicable for a catalogue and account-oriented B2B site. Where full conformance is not yet achieved, we prioritise fixes that affect core journeys: navigation, product discovery, contact and sign-in.
3. Measures we take
Examples of practices reflected in our site include:
- Semantic page structure with headings, landmarks and labelled controls
- Visible focus styles for keyboard navigation
- Text alternatives for meaningful images such as the Farsight Med logo
- Support for
prefers-reduced-motionto limit non-essential animation - Responsive layouts intended to remain usable at different viewport sizes and zoom levels
- Clear link and button labels for primary actions (for example Request access, Contact us)
4. Known limitations
Some areas may not yet meet our target standard at all times. For example:
- Third-party product imagery or partner materials may lack complete alternative text
- Complex catalogue filters, mega menus or modal dialogs may need further keyboard or screen-reader refinement
- Older browser versions or uncommon assistive technology combinations may behave inconsistently
- PDF or downloadable manufacturer documentation (when provided) may have varying accessibility quality outside our control
We review feedback and iterate on these areas as part of ongoing site improvements.
5. Assistive technology
The site is designed to work with modern browsers and common assistive technologies (for example recent versions of screen readers, magnification and voice control). If a feature is difficult to use with your setup, tell us which page, browser and assistive tool you were using so we can investigate.
6. Feedback & assistance
If you experience an accessibility barrier, or need information from the site in an alternative format, contact our Doha team. We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within one business day (Sunday–Thursday, 9:00–17:00 AST) and to propose a reasonable path forward, which may include guiding you through a process by phone or email or providing content another way.
7. Compatibility & testing
We combine design review, manual keyboard checks and automated checks where useful. Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time certification. This statement is not a guarantee of full WCAG conformance for every page or third-party asset at all times.
8. Updates to this statement
We may update this Accessibility Statement as the site evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do.
9. Contact
Accessibility questions and barrier reports can be sent via the contact form or email hello@farsightmed.com. Please include the page URL and a short description of the issue. Related policies:
