Description / Overview

Convenient, reliable 'hot start' thermostable DNA polymerase for PCR with enhanced specificity vs standard Taq. Hot-start conferred by thermolabile monoclonal antibodies that inactivate the enzyme until the initial PCR denaturation step, preventing nonspecific primer extension and improving yield; allows room-temperature reaction assembly. Has non-template-dependent terminal transferase activity (adds 3' dA) and 5'→3' exonuclease activity (no 3'→5').
