Description / Overview
Hard-setting liquid mountant applied directly to fluorescently labeled cell/tissue samples on microscope slides. Protects fluorescent dyes (e.g. Alexa Fluor) from photobleaching without significantly quenching initial signal; NOT recommended with fluorescent proteins (GFP, RFP, mCherry — use ProLong Diamond instead for those). Cures to refractive index (RI) 1.47, avoiding need for traditional acrylic resins (e.g. nail polish) that can damage microscope objectives. Ready-to-use; apply a drop, add coverslip, cure, and image.Applications
